Exelby Labradors is a small kennel situated in rural S.W.Scotland.

The Exelby Family

I have always made full use of the health testing facilities available and adhere to our breed club’s code of ethics. In June 2011, after a successful and in-depth visit from Mr Bill Lambert from the Kennel Club, I was accepted as a member of the “KC Assured Breeder Scheme.”

The Exelby labradors are situated in a beautiful rural setting just outside Lockerbie in SW Scotland. All my dogs live in my home as part of the family. My pups are born and reared in the home and by the time they are eight weeks old and ready to join their new owners, they are very well socialised, with other dogs, children, cats and the occasional pheasant or two roaming the garden.

How it All Started

My father used to show his Border Terriers, and when I was around eight years old, I was allowed to show a dog for the 1st time. But, it was the Labrador ring that held my fascination.

Nearly 30 years later, my return to the show ring has been a wonderful experience, and I have loved every moment of it.
